Warehouse Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and directing daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, material handling, inventory movement, and order fulfillment activities. This position provides day-to-day leadership to warehouse personnel, assigns and monitors work activities, supports training and performance development, and helps ensure operational objectives are achieved.
The Warehouse Lead works alongside the team in the execution of warehouse activities while serving as a subject matter expert for warehouse processes, inventory accuracy, safety compliance, quality standards, and material flow. In partnership with the Distribution Center Supervisor, this position supports continuous improvement initiatives, promotes Lean operational excellence, and helps drive a culture of safety, accountability, and customer satisfaction.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Coordinate and monitor daily warehouse activities including receiving, shipping, inventory movement, staging, and order fulfillment.
· Assign and prioritize daily work activities to ensure operational objectives, customer commitments, and productivity goals are achieved.
· Provide hands-on operational support during receiving, shipping, inventory, and material handling activities as business needs require.
· Monitor workflow and labor utilization to ensure efficient use of personnel and resources.
· Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, training, and performance feedback to warehouse personnel.
· Ensure inbound and outbound transactions are processed accurately and timely within SAP, WMS, or other company systems.
· Investigate warehouse discrepancies involving inventory, receiving, shipping, damage, mis-picks, and transaction errors; implement corrective actions within established procedures and escalate complex issues as needed.
· Collaborate with Customer Service, Inventory Control, Planning, Purchasing, Production, and Transportation partners to resolve operational issues and ensure customer requirements are met.
· Support inventory accuracy through proper transaction processing, inventory investigations, and adherence to warehouse procedures.
· Monitor employee work progress and provide guidance regarding productivity, quality, safety, and adherence to standard work.
· Promote and enforce warehouse safety policies, hazard reporting, and safe work practices, including OSHA compliance requirements.
· Promote and reinforce 5S, Lean, and standard work practices while identifying opportunities to improve workflow, productivity, safety, inventory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
· Assist in cross-training employees to support operational flexibility and business continuity.
· Support the Distribution Center Supervisor with KPI tracking, operational reporting, workforce planning, and continuous improvement activities.
· Maintain compliance with company quality standards, ISO requirements, safety policies, and standard operating procedures.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· 4+ years of warehouse, logistics, distribution, shipping, or receiving experience preferred.
· Experience utilizing SAP, ERP, WMS, RF scanning systems, or similar warehouse technologies.
· Experience operating Forklift, Reach Truck, and Order Picker equipment preferred; certification required or ability to obtain certification.
· Demonstrated ability to coordinate workflow and provide work direction to warehouse personnel.
· Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
· Ability to work overtime and flexible schedules as business needs require.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
· Advanced knowledge of warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, and order fulfillment.
· Working knowledge of SAP, ERP, WMS, RF scanning systems, and inventory transaction processes.
· Ability to coordinate daily workflow and prioritize operational activities across multiple warehouse functions.
· Ability to coach, train, and develop employees through performance feedback and on-the-job instruction.
· Ability to identify operational issues, determine appropriate solutions, and implement corrective actions within established procedures.
· Strong understanding of inventory accuracy, warehouse processes, quality requirements, and material flow principles.
· Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to effectively communicate with employees, leadership, customers, vendors, carriers, and cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications
· SAP WM/EWM experience.
· Experience utilizing RF scanning technology and mobile warehouse devices.
· Experience in a lead, trainer, mentor, or subject matter expert role.
· Experience supporting receiving, shipping, inventory control, and order fulfillment operations.
· Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement experience.
· Experience investigating inventory discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
· Experience supporting physical inventories and inventory accuracy initiatives.

Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not have direct supervisory authority and does not make final employment decisions regarding hiring, discipline, promotion, compensation, or termination.
In partnership with the Distribution Center Supervisor, the Warehouse Lead provides day-to-day leadership by coordinating work activities, monitoring workflow, providing coaching and training, reinforcing safety requirements, supporting employee development, and helping ensure departmental objectives are achieved. The Warehouse Lead serves as the primary point of contact for daily warehouse operations and supports the successful execution of operational priorities.

“The compensation for this position will typically range from $25.00 - $27.00/hr . The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity.
